How Botchi uses cookies and similar technologies on its website and web application.

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on botchi.ai and web.botchi.ai. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We also use browser storage for limited purposes such as remembering interface preferences and preserving short-lived navigation state. In this policy, “cookies” includes these similar technologies where relevant.
2. Necessary cookies
Necessary cookies support features you request, protect the service, or remember your privacy choice. They do not require consent and cannot be disabled through our cookie settings.

3. Analytics cookies
Analytics are optional on the public website and remain disabled until you accept them. If enabled, we may use PostHog to understand visits, content performance, acquisition campaigns, calls to action, and whether a visit leads to a registration on a Botchi subdomain.
This may involve the page URL or path, referring page, campaign parameters, browser and device information, approximate location derived from an IP address, interaction events, and a pseudonymous visitor identifier. We do not use this information for third-party advertising or sell it. Analytics identifiers are retained for no longer than 6 months unless a shorter period applies.

Botchi also records server-side product and reliability events when signed-in users operate the service. Those events do not depend on optional browser cookies and are described in the Privacy Policy.
After consent, PostHog also captures clicks and form interactions, scrolling, page exits, browser errors and loading performance. Heatmaps aggregate clicks and scrolling. Session replay reconstructs navigation from the public page, mouse movements and interactions, with form values and editable text masked. We do not record console logs, request headers or bodies, or third-party iframe contents. Withdrawing consent stops recording and clears optional analytics storage.
4. Your choices
On your first visit, you can accept all cookies, reject optional cookies, or customize your choice. Optional analytics remain off until you give consent. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from using the website or creating an account.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the website footer. Withdrawing consent stops future optional browser analytics; it does not change processing that occurred lawfully before withdrawal. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
We ask again after 6 months, or sooner if the technologies or purposes change enough to require a new choice.
5. AI provider choices and third-party services
Choosing an AI model or provider does not mean accepting analytics cookies. Processing content submitted to AI features is distinct from browser cookie and storage access and follows the Privacy Policy and feature settings.
Links may take you to services such as WorkOS or Stripe. When you visit a third party's own page, its cookie and privacy policies apply to that page.
6. Collected data and rights
Events collected after consent may be sent to the analytics provider. Expiry of a browser identifier and deletion of received events are separate operations. Purposes, recipients, transfers, retention criteria, and personal data rights are described in the Privacy Policy. You may exercise rights and complain to the competent authority without accepting analytics.
